Hunters Guide

Available in all-inclusive:

  • We are in a remote location
  • Gas generator operated Freezer for your bear meat and hide.
  • Bottled drinking water, Coffee and tea
  • Breakfast, Box Lunch and Dinner
  • Each hunter is guaranteed working baits. We recommend that you bring imitation vanilla, anise, honey, syrup, and any other sweets you might prefer.
  • Boat & electric trolling motor

Hunter’s Reminder List of things to bring

  • B.Y.O.B
  • Snacks and pops/mixes
  • MANDATORY - Hunter orange hat and vest minimum 400sq.in above waist (no mesh or camo pattern accepted) to walk into hunting site only and can be removed in stand.
  • Hunting clothing (recommended loose outer for bugs) and footwear
  • Casual wear
  • Slippers or camp shoes
  • Towel and swim suit
  • Toiletries, Medication
  • ***HUNTING CHAIR/SEAT PAD*** (for platform stands and or wooden seat stands)
  • Climbing tree stand (optional)
  • SAFETY HARNESS
  • Ground blinds - BRING YOUR CHAIR/SEAT PAD
  • Flashlight, Batteries, Thermacell, Bug Repellent, Sunscreen, Bug Mesh jacket, Rain gear, Scent eliminator, backpack
  • Hunting knife
  • Transport cases (all weapons including bows must be encased ½ hr after sunset to ½ hr before sunrise)
  • Compound, Recurve or Long Bow (minimum draw weight 49lbs)
  • Crossbow (minimum draw weight 120lbs)
  • Arrows (minimum 2 sharp cutting edges)
  • Rifles (must be center fire, recommend .30cal)
  • Muzzle loader
  • Coolers to transport meat
  • Meat bags
  • Fishing rod & tackle
  • Sleeping bag and/or pillow optional

Tips

DID YOU KNOW?....

  • To acquire a hunting licence in Ontario, you must be 16 years of age and produce proof of previous hunting experience. The best proof is an old or current hunting licence from any state or country. (cannot be a bow hunting only licence)
  • You must be legally eligible to enter Canada with no felonies (DWI or DUI included) unless previous waiver has been obtained.  Are you inadmissable  to Canada?
  • All travelers must have passport beginning January 1, 2009 (enhanced drivers licenses accepted as substitute).
  • Must register firearms (up to 3) at Canadian Customs;  For firearms registration information visit: www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/information/visit/index-eng.htm and or www.cbsa-afsc.gc.ca
  • Know your limits; For import information visit: www.cbsa-afsc.gc.ca  
    - 40 oz. of alcohol or 24 cans of beer
    - 1 carton cigarettes and 50 cigars, duty free.
  • ATV Requirements - ORV sticker from your state, a helmet for each rider and you must have liability insurance. ATV's not permitted on numbered highways.
